Privacy Notice

Who we are
whydot is operated by Hasna, Inc., 1606 Headway Cir STE 9891, Austin, TX 78754, United States. Privacy questions: legal@hasna.com.
Your account
We collect your account email address, the sign-in codes we send you, and sign-in attempt records used to protect your account. Sign-in records are kept until we remove them; we are moving to a 30-day limit.
Your registrant data
When you register or manage a domain through whydot, we collect the registrant contact details you provide — name, postal address, telephone and email — because ICANN policy requires them to be accurate. We use them to register and manage the domain as your Designated Agent.
Where your registrant data goes — ICANN publication
Your registrant details are transmitted to the accredited registrar (Amazon Registrar or Gandi) and the registry operator, and are published or escrowed under ICANN policy. This publication is made by the registrar and the registry, not by whydot, and it is a condition of domain registration. ICANN and registrar notices are emailed to you directly. If the registrar offers a privacy service, the choice and its effect are shown at checkout.
Service operations
The service runs on infrastructure providers that host the service, store this information and deliver email. Requests can include technical information such as network addresses and error information needed to operate and protect the service. The site and app contain no analytics or tracking.
Billing
When payments are enabled, Stripe processes the payment details you enter on its pages; we receive what we need to manage your plan.
How long we keep it
Your account information is kept while your account exists. Sign-in records are kept until we remove them; we are moving to a 30-day limit. Registrant data for a domain is kept while the domain is registered through us; the registrar’s and registry’s retention is governed by their policies and ICANN rules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information, and to data portability. To use them, contact legal@hasna.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Romania, ANSPDCP). One ICANN limit: while a domain is registered, accurate registrant data must remain with the registrar — changes are made through the service or by contacting us.
International transfers
Registrars and registries are located in the United States and other countries. Your registrant data is transferred to them as needed to register your domains.
