The service

whydot is a domain registration service operated by Hasna, Inc., 1606 Headway Cir STE 9891, Austin, TX 78754, United States. Questions: support@hasna.com.

Who owns what

whydot registers and manages internet domain names for you through accredited registrars (Amazon Registrar and Gandi). You are the registrant of record: the domain is yours. whydot acts as your Designated Agent — it performs registration, renewal, DNS and transfer actions on your instruction, with the registrar, on your behalf.

The Designated Agent relationship

By asking whydot to register or manage a domain, you appoint whydot to act as your agent for that purpose, including accepting the registrar’s Registration Agreement and applicable ICANN policies on your behalf to the extent that framework provides. The registrar’s agreement and ICANN policies govern the domain itself, including renewal terms, suspension, dispute resolution (such as the UDRP) and transfer rules. whydot does not sell, transfer or delete your domain except on your instruction or where the registrar’s agreement or applicable law requires it.

Your registrant data

You must provide accurate name, postal address, telephone and email details for the registrant, as ICANN policy requires. Because you are the registrant of record, those details are submitted to the registrar and the registry and are published or escrowed under ICANN policy; that publication is made by the registrar and the registry, not by whydot. Any registrar privacy option is chosen at checkout. ICANN and registrar notices are sent to you directly by design. One of those emails needs your action: after you register a domain, the registrar sends a registrant verification email to your registrant address, as ICANN policy requires. Act on it — the verification is administered by the registrar under ICANN policy, and if it is not completed the registrar can suspend the domain under that policy. whydot does not control that step.

Billing

Prices and renewal terms are shown at checkout before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe; whydot receives what it needs to manage your subscription. If a renewal payment fails, the domain follows the registrar’s expiry and redemption rules.

Your account and conduct

Keep your account credentials secure and provide accurate information. Do not use the service to register domains for unlawful purposes or to evade ICANN policies or the rights of others.

Availability and changes

Features and service availability can change. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or failures. Keep records of what matters to you.

Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Except as stated in these terms, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hasna, Inc.’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Austin, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction.
